A Cowboy's Christmas Eve

Holiday | Novella / Short Story | Romance

Scene -- Glacier Ridge Montana Christmas Eve family dinner at the Malloy Ranch. The entire Malloy family gathered around the table resplendent with the gourmet feast prepared by the family cook Yancy. Everyone in attendance starting from The Great One, Gram Gracie to the assorted nephews and wives.

Stop right there. Well almost everyone. Colin Malloy was all set to finally come off the cold range and enjoy this wondrous dinner with family and if he was being totally honest -- which of course Colin was -- with the lovely Dr. Anita Cross the recent newcomer to Glacier Ridge who definitely caught this long time bachelors eye.

A COWBOYS CHRISTMAS EVE is the third story in the ongoing almost fable like tale of the Malloy family. R.C. Ryan decided to handle Colin's story in a delightful novella that takes place entirely on that one special night of the year.

The weather outside was frightful -- a little fanciful but accurate. It was causing all types of problems and so the end result was that instead of sitting down at the family feast Colin finds himself back on the road to the clinic to pick up Dr. Anita. You see a doctor in a small town where patients become friends and practically family does not have the luxury of very much free time. Anita and her uncle had arranged for a doctor to man their clinic so they could attend the Malloy Christmas Eve dinner but he never made it before this storm hit.

So Christmas Eve was fated to be at the clinic with Anita handling various medical emergencies as they popped in and Colin. Surely not the most romantic setting for two people who had their eye on each other but in true R. C. Ryan style it couldn't have worked out better.

What a way to kick start a relationship.

Welcome to Christmas Eve R.C. Ryan style. A COWBOYS CHRISTMAS EVE novella is a short little tale about good people doing what comes naturally. A delightful reunion with some of the wonderful characters of the Malloys of Montana series. Smiles are guaranteed.

SUMMARY

Silent Night, Snowy Night . . .

Colin Malloy enjoys spending Christmas with his family at the Malloy ranch. But this holiday, what he really wants to do is to get closer to the alluring Dr. Anita Cross. So when a blizzard conspires to keep her from joining the Malloy family's festivities, neither snow, sleet, nor spun-out cars will prevent Colin from reaching her side.

As the new doctor in town, Anita is wholeheartedly devoted to her patients. So when a little boy needs her on this snowy night, she doesn't hesitate to care for him and send him home in time to spend Christmas with his family. An evening with a certain sexy cowboy will have to wait-or so she thinks. When a breathless Colin Malloy shows up at her clinic, Anita finds her cold, lonely night quickly heating up. And no crisis or well-meaning relative will stop them from making this a Christmas to remember . . .
