Jo Marie is trying to go on with her life. Mark, whom she loves, has left without telling her why. She waits every day for a letter from him, but nothing ever comes. So Jo Marie knows she has to keep busy. Running Rose Harbor, her bed and breakfast, is what keeps her going. She bought it after her husband, Paul, was killed in Afghanistan. Jo Marie feels she would never fall in love again, but then she meets Mark.
Emily is a school teacher. After having her heart broken twice, she decides she needs to start over. She visited Cedar Cove a few years ago with her boyfriend, James. Unfortunately, things just didn't work out. James came face to face with his former love and it was obvious to Emily that James wasn't ready to move on from his old romance. Emily loves Cedar Cove so much she decides to stay. She applies for a teaching job and gets it.
Both women have had bad luck with love. Since Emily needs a place to stay, Jo Marie invites her to Rose Harbor until she can find her own place. Emily is thrilled as she loves the inn.
Emily also loves to jog. One morning while jogging, she comes across a house. Since it looks like no one lives there, she decides to add it to her running path. She has no idea the house is really occupied. Nick has a secret and is hiding out in this house. It's the only thing that keeps him in check. Nick runs into Emily while she is jogging and in no uncertain tells her to stay off his property. Emily is shocked at his rudeness.
Can Emily, Nick, Jo Marie and Mark ever have SWEET TOMORROWS?
I was very sad after reading this book. It is the end of Debbie Macomber's Rose Harbor series, but I'd like Ms. Macomber to know this is one of my favorites of all her series. I find myself just putting myself into her novels and never wanting to come out. You can tell Ms. Macomber puts her heart into all of her books. She has so much compassion for all of her characters. I also have watched her movies on the Hallmark Channel. Previously aired episodes of Cedar Cove are available on the Hallmark channel.
While I am sorry to see Rose Harbor end, I can't wait for her next book, whether it is a stand-alone novel or a series. Here's to you Debbie Macomber, you are a great romance writer!
