SWEET LITTLE LIES is the beginning of the new Heartbreaker Bay Series by Jill Shalvis about a group of friends. This unique group will have you in stitches with some of the things they say and do. They all have varied backgrounds that will lead to some interesting stories. This is a story of how one young woman does everything within her power to right some wrongs which she takes on as her responsibility. Her selflessness is endearing even though it seems to cost her everything. It's amazing how far she goes to help others at her own cost. This is a fascinating story because one accident changed so many lives and this young woman took it upon herself to take responsibility for it and then go about making restitution. Her new friends have no idea what she has been going through.

San Francisco tour boat captain Pru Harris spends all her time trying to make sure everyone has a happy life. The conversations she has with her mutt Thor is hilarious. She pays college tuitions. She helps find apartments. She helps find jobs. She even wishes at the historic fountain for love and happiness for others. Pub owner Finn O'Riley works hard running his pub and taking care of his younger brother and keeping him out of trouble. He never takes time for himself. But when Pru becomes part of their circle he finds himself constantly thinking about her. There is an accident with a dart and a shirt less Finn that will heat things up pretty fast. Pru wants Finn to be happy and to find love. She also wants to be the one who finds love with him. But because of the secret she is keeping it may not be possible and may change everything.

Jill Shalvis does a great job in showing how once the secret is finally revealed that there is a chance in finding happiness when they each forgive each other when the full story behind the secret is understood. This is the beginning to a great new series with some interesting and very entertaining characters. When Pru held back her secrets were they considered SWEET LITTLE LIES or were they omissions of facts? Looking forward to reading more in this series.

SUMMARY

Choose the one guy you can’t have . . . As captain of a San Francisco Bay tour boat, Pru can handle rough seas—the hard part is life on dry land. Pru loves her new apartment and her neighbors; problem is, she’s in danger of stumbling into love with Mr. Right for Anybody But Her. Fall for him—hard . . . Pub owner Finn O’Riley is six-foot-plus of hard-working hottie who always makes time for his friends. When Pru becomes one of them, she discovers how amazing it feels to be on the receiving end of that deep green gaze. But when a freak accident involving darts (don’t ask) leads to shirtless first aid, things rush way past the friend zone. Fast. And then tell him the truth. Pru only wants Finn to be happy; it’s what she wishes for at the historic fountain that’s supposed to grant her heart’s desire. But wanting him for herself is a different story—because Pru’s been keeping a secret that could change everything. . . .
