THE UNTAMED EARL is the fifth book in the Playful Brides series by Valerie Bowman. I absolutely adored this fun, witty and delightful book in this amazing series.

Lord Owen Monroe has been drinking, gambling and simply being a rogue most of his bachelor life, but now his father will cut his allowance if he doesn't get engaged in a month. Of course his father has already chosen Owen's bride, Lady Lavinia Hobbs, the daughter of the Duke of Huntley. So it seems an easy task for a rogue to charm a beautiful lady to fall for him, but Owen has not predicted Lavinia's younger sister's plan.

Lady Alexandra Hobbs, the younger daughter of the Duke of Huntley, has been in love with Lord Owen Monroe since she has been fifteen years old. Marrying Lord Owen has been in her list since her first glimpse of him from the window of her bedchamber. But now her parents are planning an engagement between Owen and her spoiled sister Lavinia. She needs to come with a plan not to lose her love to her mean and spoiled sister. Luckily her sister isn't interested in Owen, so Alexandra feels less guilty to make deal with Owen; she must turn him into a perfect suitor for her sister and in return Owen helps her to become the belle of the season.

I must say I have read every single book by Valerie Bowman and enjoyed all of her books. Her stories sparkle with humor and her characters are absolutely adorable. THE UNTAMED EARL is an engaging and romantic love story with mischievous characters and a few well-meaning meddlers as secondary characters. I love that all her previous characters are still plotting in this book too.

I highly recommend THE UNTAMED EARL and can't wait for the next one.
