Basically two Greek tycoons are swept over their heads by
two -- wait for it -- chambermaids. You have to just love
Jennifer Faye. Sure it is a bit of a Cinderella story --
Faye even admits to that. But those that have romance in
their soul will love watching powerful wealthy guys
basically fall on the sword for the ladies that catch not
only their eye -- but their hearts as well.
THE GREEK'S NINE MONTH SURPRISE by Jennifer Faye is the
second in her Brides For The Greek Tycoons series. I
hadn't read the first before delving into this story --
and it did not matter a bit. Faye made me laugh with her
talented use of dialog that was witty and charming. She
really got into her characters psyche and shared that
with the reader through disarmingly spot on dialog.
Moving through scenes it was easy to see the characters
change.
I'm sure you can guess what the surprise is. Sofia Moore
was attending the wedding of her best friend and caught
the eye of Niko Stravos -- the bride's long lost cousin.
She was having a great time finally moving past an
engagement that was doomed in more ways than one. Niko
was a really good looking guy and Sofia decided to be
bold and ask him to dance. They were both singles -- why
not enjoy this wonderful party. Sofia was tired of
following the whims of someone else. This was her way of
showing how she was becoming her own person. A woman with
a mind who wasn't timid. No more second guessing for
Sofia.
Niko is unexpectedly thrust into the position at the helm
of his family's trust. Sure he had been groomed for it
but when his grandfather suddenly died Niko's world
became firmly entrenched in his new responsibilities.
Niko had lots of ideas to change the company's focus
which meant he had little or no time for a personal life.
Then Sofia reemerged from the shadows of a delightful
night that still brought a smile to Niko's face.
Surprise.
Sofia is determined that this pregnancy wouldn't change
her plans to move back home and pursue a degree. At home
she had a huge support group. She could do this. But she
had to let Niko know about the baby in case he would like to
have a role in the child's life. They could co-parent or
not -- either way it was only right to let him know.
Niko took the news in a surprisingly positive manner.
Sure he would like to be part of his child's life. He
would gladly support him but Sofia felt okay on her own.
Niko was pretty certain he could convince Sofia that
letting him have a greater role would be the smart
decision. But Sofia wasn't going to ever let anyone
control her life. After all it wasn't as if she and Niko
were in love. Without love there was no need to continue
any relationship outside caring for their child.
Niko was on a quest to clear out personal items in family
holdings that were to be part of a business agreement.
With each site his life became enriched with knowledge of
his past. He was growing personally. And with each step
Niko was seeing his relationship with Sofia clearer and
clearer. Now he had to broker the most important deal of
his life.
Cinderella had a fairy godmother. Jennifer Faye employed
a fairy grandfather of sorts. THE GREEK'S NINE MONTH
SURPRISE is a delightful, light-hearted look at finding
love when least expecting it.
The next Stravos heir…
For billionaire Niko Stravos, emotional detachment is an art
form. So the last thing he expects is an out-of-character
night with Sofia Moore, or the shocking consequences: he's
going to be a daddy!
Niko persuades chambermaid Sofia to join him on a
round-the-world business trip, determined to deal with his
emotional turmoil. As Sofia's beauty and compassion touch
Niko's heart, it's time to confront the past so he can
convince relationship-wary Sofia that he wants a future!
