Sir Bledig, a knight for Camelot and King Arthur carries a deep secret - he is also lycan. He swears to control his "beast" until he can find a way to rid himself of this curse. His lycan people want him to mate with a wolf maiden who can bear him children. Bledig never plans to do this, he will be the WHITE WOLF OF AVALON but as a man, a knight for his king.
Annora is a wolf maiden who would love nothing more than to be a scribe and historian. She knows that this will only work if she is lucky and her mate will allow such unusual activities for a woman. Traveling to the mate chosen for her, the caravan is attacked and to the rescue is Sir Bledig. This man is the knight of her imagination, and she is the woman he had been dreaming of. But Bledig doesn't want his destiny to come true. It is written that the WHITE WOLF OF AVALON will unite all lycans in Britain. Will he continue to fight his beast or face the truth, his heart and and unite his true people or will evil win out and destroy them all?
What can I say about WHITE WOLF OF AVALON but amazing. The struggle for Bledig is spelled out from the beginning as he fights against his fate but when Annora comes into the picture things change but not to his liking. Their attraction is immediate which is expected when a lycan finds his mate.
I loved the world created by author Eva Gordon with its touches of history, mythology and her vivid imagination. Of course who doesn't love Camelot and King Arthur but then add the intrigue of his world into the mix with lycans and you have an impressive read. There is a good balance of romance and action, neither over the top so it should appeal to either a romance or action reader. If you are looking to try a book that has historical elements with the addition of paranormal then WHITE WOLF OF AVALON should be in your hands.
