NOBODY BUT YOU is the third book in The Cedar Ridge Series about the Kincaid family by Jill Shalvis. This is a great series about a combination of siblings all with the same father but different mothers. The mother who was married to the father ends up raising the other children. The father has left the family in debt, so the siblings work together to save the family resort. Even though this is an unusual family situation there is no doubt that they love and support each other. These siblings realize they are not complete until the missing sibling returns home. This story is about two people finding their fit and acceptance of differences.

Jacob Kincaid and his twin brother Hud have not seen each other since they were 18 years old when they had a disagreement and Jacob left and joined the military. Now as a Special Forces officer Jacob is injured during a mission that went wrong and loses a close friend who was like a brother to him. Jacob needs physical as well as emotional healing and knows that the only way that can happen will require that he returns home to Cedar Ridge where he can make things right again with his family -- especially with his twin brother Hud. Jacob and Hud's mother Carrie suffers from dementia. So the twins always took care of her. After returning home he rents a lakeside cabin hoping for some quiet solitude before he faces his family. That solitude is disrupted when he comes upon sexy redhead Sophie Marren living on a boat at his dock. It's kind of hilarious to find Sophie living on a boat when she suffers from seasickness. But that's her only option because she's broke after a recent divorce and the boat is all she has.

Sophie and Jacob are perfect for each other because neither of them feel like they have a place to call home. When Jacob learns about the family's financial situation he feels guilty because he hasn't been there to help out. Jacob has to find a way to forgive himself and accept that his family is always there with open arms to welcome him home. Sophie has to realize that her failed marriage should not be the deciding factor of how her life will turn out.

NOBODY BUT YOU is a great story about trust, forgiveness, finding your way back home and realizing you can always go back home again. Looking forward to the next Kincaid story!

SUMMARY

SOMETIMES YOU CAN GO HOME AGAIN . . . After an overseas mission goes wrong, Army Special Forces officer Jacob Kincaid knows where he must go to make things right: back home to the tiny town of Cedar Ridge, Colorado. All he needs to scrub away his painful past is fresh mountain air, a lakeside cabin, and quiet solitude. But what he discovers is a gorgeous woman living on a boat at his dock. Sophie Marren has nowhere else to go. She's broke, intermittently seasick, and fighting a serious attraction to the brooding, dishy, I'm-too-sexy-for-myself guy who's now claiming her dock. Something about Jacob's dark intensity makes her want to tease-and tempt-him beyond measure. Neither one wants to give any ground . . . until they realize the only true home they have is with each other.
