It's always refreshing when an author can make you giggle
out loud and
Holly Martin does just that with SNOWFLAKES ON SILVER COVE.
She
even had me snorting to the point where my husband looked
at me like I
was crazy. Holly Martin is quickly becoming my newest go
to author.
SNOWFLAKES ON SILVER COVE is book two in the White Cliff
Bay
series. Here you will meet Libby Joseph. She lives in the
small community
of White Cliff Bay and her best friend is George who lives
next door and
who has always loved Libby from a distance.
Libby wants to help George become confident enough to ask
out their new
neighbor. He is recently divorced and is afraid to get
involved with anyone
and have his heart broken again. They come up with a plan
to have Libby
be his guinea pig so he can practice getting back into
dating. As they dates
continue Libby finds herself falling for George, but thinks
this must be crazy
as he has no feelings for her more than being friends.
Libby actually
thought George was gay. Her reaction to finding out he
isn't is hysterical.
Will one of them finally reveal to the other their true
feelings? Will Libby
leave town on the date she has set or can she be happy
planting roots in
White Cliff Bay?
Another couple trying to find their happily ever after are
Amy and Seb. Seb
is the owner of the local pub and Amy works for him. Five
years ago Seb
lost his wife, Marie and while he is ready to move on and
try to love again,
he feels guilty because Marie's mother, Dorothy, is
watching his every
move. The situations that Amy gets herself involved in,
while Dorothy is
busy scrutinizing Amy behind her living room curtains, are
laugh out loud
funny. As you are reading their story, you will find
yourself screaming at
Dorothy to allow Seb to move on with his life.
SNOWFLAKE ON SILVER COVE is a magical, romantic story that
you will
finish in one sitting like I did. It's a wonderful story
that is sure to put you in
the Christmas spirit no matter what time of year you read
it. If you love a
sweet and funny story of friends becoming lovers than do
not skip
SNOWFLAKES ON SILVER COVE. The first book in this series,
CHRISTMAS IN LILAC COTTAGE has some
of the same characters and gives you a different
perspective on parts of this story. Both books in this
series
completely invested me in all of the characters lives, so
much so that now I
feel as if we are all friends, and I truly want to pack up
the car and head to
White Cliff Bay. I just love when an author can do that to
me and Holly
Martin does not disappoint.
