In the fifth book of the Hopeseries, Jaci Burton pairs
together sexy Reid McCormack and sweet Samantha Reasor in this heartfelt
story of love. Reid is only in town long enough to restore a building but as
the demolition begins, he can't stop noticing the florist Samantha while he
works. What I loved about Samantha's character was that she was
very independent and successful. She wasn't at all needy, begging for Reid
to stay when I think most women would've. Although she knows that Reid
will only be around, she doesn't dwell on that. Instead she takes every moment
with him to her heart.
As you read the book, there is a change in Reid and it becomes more and
more apparent as the romance blooms. The fact that the entire cast is such a
close-knit group creates a greater sense of family. So when you throw
Reid into the mix, it truly feels genuine.
It will come as no surprise that my favorite part of this book is actually Reid's
time with his new dog. Much like Reid, the dog appears out of nowhere and as
many times as Reid tries to get rid of him, the canine appears to have grown
attached. I loved his conversations with the dog. They were cute, endearing,
and brought on greater insight into Reid's character.
MAKE ME STAY is a delightful story about love, friendship and family.
Heartfelt and sweet, this is a story that will no doubt enlighten and bring a
smile to your face.
The New York Times bestselling
author of Love After All and the
Play-by-Play series delivers a new novel about how love
sometimes has plans of its own.
Having
left his hometown of Hope years ago, only one thing could
persuade architect Reid McCormack to come home for a lengthy
stay—the challenge of renovating a historic building. But
once the job is finished, he’ll be headed back to Boston, no
matter how much he’s drawn to beautiful florist Samantha
Reasor.
Samantha watches over her elderly
grandmother and pours a piece of herself into every floral
creation she designs. Her crush on Reid has been blooming
for a while now, but she’s reluctant to act on it. A
temporary fling isn’t what she’s looking for, even if Reid
is smoking hot and super sexy. She wants a real, permanent,
forever kind of love.
Two people with different
goals couldn’t possibly work, and yet as their attraction
grows into something deeper, maybe falling in love is the
one thing Samantha and Reid can build a future on.
