CHERRY COLA CHRISTMAS is Book 4 in the Cherry Cola Book Club series. Even though it is book four, you can read it as a stand alone as I did. I wasn't lost at all. It takes place in the small town of Cherico, Mississippi. Cherico is struggling financially, there is a spike in crime, and businesses are closing down and leaving. Maura Beth has just returned from her honeymoon and the mayor has requested her presence ASAP. He is worried about the financial situation the town is in and wants to use Maura's book club for a special meeting.

The book club decides to throw a Christmas pot luck dinner and invites the whole town. All the while this is going on, the people of Cherico are dealing with job loss, pregnancy, illness, and heartache. Maura Beth hopes the dinner will bring everyone closer and just maybe bring some Christmas cheer which everyone seems to be lacking. Once the mysteries are solved and confessions are made you won't believe how fast you have read CHERRY COLA CHRISTMAS. The characters are strong and lovable, and it will feel as if you are reading about your old friends.

CHERRY COLA CHRISTMAS is an enjoyable holiday story. The stories of the towns people of Cherico are so heartwarming. I would love to have neighbors like them and live in such a small town. Since I missed reading the first three books in this series, I'm going to go back and read them to catch up. If you enjoy Christian stories with just a touch of mystery, you will surely enjoy this book. I love the crazy sisters of Marydell and Mamie. Who doesn't love a Christmas story with so much love and a town coming together? As an added bonus, there are recipes in the back and who doesn't need something new to put on their table for dinner? I can't wait to read more of this series.

SUMMARY

Christmas is coming to the small town of Cherico, Mississippi, and thereโ€™s no better way to prepare than with the Cherry Cola Book Clubโ€™s feast of good food, good booksโ€”and good peopleโ€ฆ Chericoโ€™s newlywed librarian Maura Beth Mayhew is back from her honeymoon and she and Jeremy McShay are settling into married life. Maura Bethโ€™s father has even given them the down payment on a charming cottage. But as the holidays approach, Chericoโ€™s economy is struggling. Beloved local shops have closed, jobs have been lost, and thereโ€™s even a mysterious crime spree afoot. Amid the gloom, Maura Beth decides what the community needs is a healthy dose of Christmas cheerโ€”which means a special meeting of the Cherry Cola Book Club... Along with the delicious potluck offerings everyone has come to expect, Maura Beth has invited members and the public to share their most uplifting storiesโ€”and share they do. From poignant stories of grief and renewal to joyful stories of love and new life, Chericoโ€™s residents infuse the gathering with so much hope and courage they just might inspire a culpritโ€™s confession, and conjure a holiday miracle that could save the townโ€”and Christmasโ€ฆ
