Jori Garrison trains dogs for the Warrior Wolf Pack, which provides service animals for disabled veterans. Having been wrongly convicted of a crime thanks to her no good ex fiancΓ©, she just wants to train her dogs and live in peace. Little does she expect a PRIMAL FORCE is blowing her way in the form of a lethally hot male.
Lauray "Law" Batisse is a Military Police veteran who was wounded in Afghanistan. He had lost his K-9 partner in combat and was reluctant to accept a service dog named Samantha, who reminds him of a cheese doodle, until he meets her trainer. The sexy alpha male might just be the only man who can unleash the sexy trainer's desires, and when an unseen enemy starts hunting them, he and his new K-9 partner might be her only hope.
PRIMAL FORCE is a force to be reckoned with in this non-stop, action-packed book by author D. D. Ayers. In this edition of her K-9 Rescue novel, we find a woman who is putting her life back together, dealing with a man who is also at a turning point in his life, add a service dog and a volatile attraction and you have PRIMAL FORCE. But that is only the beginning and in no way tells it all. There is a lot of emotion on all sides of this romance including that of the dog Sam, who has fallen for her Alpha. The mystery that involved Jori and her past is part of what brings Law back to the real world. Well that and some really steamy all-out-there sex. I did get a little perturbed with his commitment fear. He would show up then leave, say never again then he would come back. It got a little tired. Knowing his background helped to overlook this sad quirk, especially when Jori made sure he knew he could run but she would find him. The real hero (or I should say heroine) of this book is of course the K-9 Sam and I loved the input she gives about her dealings with her Alpha, the Alpha lady and the bad guys - and of course the Cat! Amazing series with dialogue and action that won't let you go until you get to the last line. PRIMAL FORCE is on my TRA (to read again) shelf and I can't wait for the next one.
