In WIN ME OVER, cute and ambitious Callie Daniels has lived a young life of beauty pageants and tiaras. Now she lives in Preston, Missouri operating her own bakery, providing articles for a popular blog, and has just accepted being the coach for the high school dance team. There is absolutely no room in her life for a man -- any man.
Callie's Confections keeps her busy but helping with the dance team at school revives her love of dance. What she doesn't expect is to be asked to teach the football coach a sexy dance to compete with her in the Millard Country Club fundraiser competition. More surprising is to find the coach is not the old guy she thought, but a gorgeous guy and a previous NFL star. A serious accident ended Bennett Clark's career as an NFL star and lost him his fiancΓ©. Reluctant at trying to dance with the painful leg and thigh injury, his incentive is to have this lead toward his winning the Evan Award, which would pay a cash prize he could pass on to his students planning on college. He doesn't expect the dance teacher to be an enigma plus gorgeous and sexy. The two are drawn close with their tender moments, and soon can't keep their hands off each other. A tragedy occurs that causes Bennett to draw into himself in pity. After shutting out Callie, he eventually realizes he can't live without her, but now how can he convince her of his undying commitment?
WIN ME OVER is the second in a new series by a very talented Nicole Michaels. The sexy, delightful Callie is strong but dedicated and Bennett is heartbreakingly tender and romantic, even when denying his true feelings. Realizing his attitude of the past has dictated the present, a change is indicated for happiness. I have not read any of the works by Nicole Michaels before, but found this one to be extremely charming and infused with a dynamic woman full of life. A lost romantic man and a crafty assertive female make for a great read. I loved this compelling and irresistible read!
