"Spectacular blend of hardboiled detective work and outrageously funny scenes"

Fresh Fiction Review

Royal Flush

Mystery Amateur Sleuth

Raven McShane thought it would be a relatively simple case. All she had to do was prove whether or not heiress Melanie Weston's boyfriend is part of the royal family. Unfortunately, things are never that simple when Raven is involved and she soon finds herself in a complicated web of lies and deceit, where no one can be trusted.

The mystery in ROYAL FLUSH is surprisingly complex. Stephanie Caffrey weaves together a whole string of disreputable characters as there are suspects aplenty. The ending resolution caught me completely off guard as Stephanie Caffrey did a marvelous job with the red herrings.

I really like how Stephanie Caffrey is evolving Raven's character as we are getting to see a side of her that we can relate to. In the first book in particular, we saw more of her stripper persona but now we are starting to see another side of her. Raven isn't afraid to laugh at herself, whether it's the embarrassing scenario at the spa or the club. And yes, I laughed right along with her! ROYAL FLUSH is a spectacular blend of hardboiled detective work and outrageously funny scenes. Stephanie Caffrey captures the heart and soul of Las Vegas perfectly in ROYAL FLUSH while crafting a darned good mystery in the process. ROYAL FLUSH is the third book in the Raven McShane series but can easily be read as a standalone. However, this series is so much fun that I can't imagine why anyone would want to miss out on a single book! I can't wait to see what the future holds for Raven McShane as this is one series I'm hooked on!

SUMMARY

From bestselling mystery author Stephanie Caffrey comes a hilarious mystery, Sin City style.. .

With a sassy mouth and a penchant for drunken shoe shopping, Raven McShane may be Vegas's most unlikely new detective, but she always gets her man. Which is why Hollywood heiress Melanie Weston needs Raven's help. When Melanie got serious with a cute Englishman she thought she hit the jackpot—especially when he claimed he was a distant member of the Royal Family. But now things don't quite add up, and she wants Raven to investigate Prince Charming's story.

Along with her sexy, muscular sidekick, Raven suddenly finds herself chasing stories, making enemies, and putting herself in far more danger than she bargained for when her digging uncovers a sinister plot that goes way beyond happily-ever-afters. Raven may have more experience with platform heels than putting away bad guys but she's determined to stay one step ahead of trouble, solve a murder, and look fabulous the entire time!
