Mystery Cozy

Cassidi Conti has inherited the Clip and Sip from her uncle. Her clientele is almost nonexistent and she has to beg people to come work for her, it has something to do with the place being a former brothel. So what could possibly be worse than almost no clients? Well, one of your few clients dying while getting her hair done and, even worse, for it to be murder. Things go from bad to worse as Cassidi's hair stylist is arrested for the murder. Cassidi must find out the truth because the cops believe they have their killer. Now Cassidi must stay alive long enough to get the evidence on the real killer and not get locked up herself. DEADLY DYE AND A SOY CHAI is book five in the Danger Cove series by Traci Andrighetti, and in this book she brings in fellow writer Elizabeth Ashby. Traci Andrighetti writes funny cozy mysteries that are serious page turners. You are laughing before you get past the first sentence and it keeps up throughout the story. Not to mention the mystery is great, the characters are quirky and fun, and the setting makes you want to go visit Danger Cove. Traci Andrighetti is also kind enough to include the recipes for adult beverages at the end of her stories. DEADLY DYE AND A SOY CHAI has a bonus pecan pie recipe. You will want to read every book in the Danger Cove series. Traci Andrighetti is an amazing writer and her collaboration with Elizabeth Ashby has created another great story.

SUMMARY

This salon's styles are to die for. Native Texan Cassidi Conti was expecting to face some obstacles when she moved to Danger Cove and opened The Clip and Sip, a hair salon that gives away free drinks. What she wasn't counting on was a client dying during a dye job. But when eighty-year-old Margaret Appleby comes in for her biweekly appointment, that's exactly what happens: Margaret drinks her usual soy chai, dozes off under the dryer...and doesn't wake up. Now The Clip and Sip is under suspicion, clients are wary, and Cassidi is on a mission to prove that while her styles may be killer, her employees are innocent! But as Cassidi wades through the myriad of suspects in the small, costal town, the killer sets his sights straight on everyone's favorite stylist. If Cassidi doesn't watch her back, she may just end up Danger Cove's latest fashionable victim.
