Jessica Montgomery is under pressure, which is not unusual in
her life. To become CFO of her ruthless father's company, she
has to close this deal: her father wants Logan Wilde as lead
chef in their new Atlanta restaurant, and he wants her to
deliver him. Jessica has worked hard to prove herself to her
family but always seems to be found wanting. With her tough
exterior in place and her icy demeanour, Jessica is sure she
can secure Logan Wilde. But when she arrives in small town
Falcon, and meets Logan in the flesh, her entire world is
turned upside down. For as she gets to know this man who sends
thrills through her spine, Jessica begins to understand
herself and her troubled past. But as lies and
misunderstandings wedge between them, can she ever truly
escape her family's clutches and grasp freedom for herself?
Logan Wilde has done many things in his adolescence that he is
not proud of, but finally he has found his place in the
world. Owning and working at his restaurant, Adaline's, and
working part-time as assistant coach to the football team,
leaves him with plenty of time to relax and be one with
nature. But as soon as he sets eyes on the prim and
exceedingly sexy Jessica Montgomery, she gets under his skin
like no other ever has. As passion flares to life and a deep
connection develops, Jessica and Logan are forced to deal with
the scars of the past. And as scandal explodes around them,
and lies and family interference threaten their new future,
will they trust each other enough to take a chance at
something real?
CAUGHT UP IN THE TOUCH by Laura Trentham is the second
instalment of the Falcon Football series, but it is easily
read as a standalone novel. Rich in detail, the author
bewitched me with the beautiful town of Falcon and her
characters who are full of depth and emotion. Jessica has
suffered at the hands of her family, always trying to keep her
independence, but at the same time desperate for their
acceptance. It was beautiful to watch her discover herself and
what she really needs from her life. Logan is everything I
love in a hero - strong, rugged, caring and willing to go
after what he wants. Their connection is sizzling hot, jumping
straight off the page and into a readers heart.
CAUGHT UP IN THE TOUCH by Laura Trentham is an entertaining, contemporary
romance but it is so much more than that. Dealing with real
emotional and physical issues in a compassionate and thought-
provoking manner, CAUGHT UP IN THE TOUCH is
one of those rare novels that stays with you long after you
have finished reading it, and I highly recommend the series.
Jessica Montgomery has always lived by three simple rules:
stay calm, stay professional, stay in control. Working
tirelessly to make it into the executive ranks of her
family's business, her dream job of CFO is within reach-if
she can convince one stubborn and sexy restaurateur to take
her offer and manage Montgomery Industries' flagship
restaurant in Atlanta.
On the surface Logan Wilde is all good-old-boy charm and
humor, but he can't seem to outrun the hell-raising
reputation of his high school years. Although he has thought
about leaving his hometown in Falcon, Alabama, he has grown
to love the town, his restaurant, and his part-time gig
coaching the football team.
Jessica estimates it will take a week tops to get Logan
Wilde's signature on her generous offer, but their first
meeting is anything but professional. Logan shreds Jessica's
control and unleashes a passion she didn't know existed even
as a deeper connection between them takes root. When her
family's manipulations threaten to tear them apart, Jessica
has to decide whether her dream is really the CFO job or the
man who has unselfishly offered his love.
