What a wonderfully-written novel Debra Holt has in MERCY'S RESCUE! A beautiful
love story that captures your heart and with surprise in every page, you live
through the eye's of Mercy and her battle of finding faith again. I love how Debra
Holt does not tell us too much about our main character at the beginning, but
carefully reveals a little more about Mercy as the story progresses. With strong
descriptions of elements such as setting, emotions, and character's personality,
this novel is sure to be one to keep on the bookshelf to read over, and over
again.
Mercy leads an Air Evac Trauma team that ends up going to the call of two
officers that were ambushed. Josh, who was left fighting for his life, opens his
eyes on his Angel, Mercy. From that day on, she is all he can think about. Is this
the Florence Nightingale Effect, or can he convince her that it is more? Mercy is
her own woman with a past that she has a hard time putting behind her. Work is
her life and she doesn't leave room for much more. Mercy just might be the one
who needs saving.
Debra Holt's MERCY'S RESCUE was a delight to read. It is one of those good
wholesome romances that satisfy the romantic in everyone. You will truly fall in
love with Josh and his down to earth, old fashion ways. I love a book that has
strong and considerate male characters with compassion. MERCY'S RESCUE has
that and so much more. Bravo for Debra Holt for writing a novel that leaves you
fulfilled to the end.
Finding himself fighting for his life after an ambush,
Sheriff Josh Wellman awakens looking into the eyes of a
real-life angel of mercy. When their hands touch, he
knows
his life has changed in that instant.
But devastating heartbreak has left Mercy Smith s faith
in
tatters, her heart guarded against more loss. Her
dedication
to the Air Evac trauma team she leads has insulated her
from
the realities of the earth below, so now Josh faces the
biggest challenge of his life. Can he find a way to get
past
the walls around Mercy and convince this angel to stay on
the ground with him? Can Mercy open her heart to life
again
and find a way to restore her faith in God ... as well as
love?
