Caro, Anna Sloane's younger sister, is hitting a little
too close to the mark with her teasing. Double drat!
How is she going to get the thoughts of that devilish
rake out of her head and get new ideas about her next
novel written instead?
While reading novels is now allowed for young ladies,
authoring them is not, so it was up to Sir Sharpe Quill
to keep the fans intrigued; yet, meanwhile Anna needs to
come up with a new plot. Surprising herself and her
mother, Anna is in favour of accepting the invitation to
a castle in remote Scotland. Hopefully, that will be
just the place to get her jumbled thoughts in order.
Meanwhile, Devlin Greville, the Marquis of Davenport,
has his own secrets he does not want to reveal and always
is in need of more money, so the mission to Scotland to
protect some German guests is right up his alley. But,
seeing the lovely and intelligent Anna Sloane there makes
him wonder... Could she be the enemy?
As Anna and the devilish Devlin struggle against to keep
their growing attraction to each other in check, they
spar and thwart each other as they seek to uncover why
the other is really in Scotland. Can they trust each
other enough to work together or will danger strike them
first?
SINFULLY YOURS is the second book in Cara Elliott's new
series, The Hellions of High Street and it is a
treat
both as a stand-alone romance or as part of this very
tongue in cheek series.
One of Elliott's best talents is her skill in character
development. The devilish Devlin, a minor character in
the first book, Scandalously Yours; yet, becomes a fuller
and far more interesting character in SINFULLY YOURS.
The dialogue and wit in his verbal sparring with the very
intelligent and well-educated Anna and others is rapier
sharp and full of double ententes.
SINFULLY YOURS is a scintillating historical romance
filled with pent-up passion, strong characters and
amusing scenes that make you want to laugh out loud.
Despite some predictability in plot development, SINFULLY
YOURS is a fun read to relax with and just to go along
with some of some slightly daft situations. The three
Sloane sisters (Olivia, Anna and Caro) are all strong and
intriguing women, so lots to enjoy in SINFULLY YOURS and
with the trilogy.
So, go ahead and indulge in a little sinful comfort that
is SINFULLY YOURS!
SUMMARY

writing. Though her plots might be full of harrowing
adventure and heated passion,
she'd much prefer to leave such exploits on the page rather
than experience them in
real life. Or so she thinks until she encounters the darkly

gorgeously charming-Marquess of Davenport. Davenport has a reputation as a notorious rake whose only
forte is wanton
seduction. However the real reason he's a guest at the same
remote Scottish castle
has nothing to do with Anna . . . until a series of
mysterious threats leave him no
choice but to turn to her for help in stopping a dangerous
conspiracy. As desire
erupts between them, Davenport soon learns he's not the only
one using a carefully
crafted image to hide his true talents. And he's more than
