Jedediah Garland, proprietor of the Hitching Post Hotel on the Garland Ranch at Cowboy Creek, New Mexico, and his hotel cook, Paz, have one thing in common---getting Jed's three granddaughters married and produce more grandchildren. Tina, the granddaughter now getting married at the Hitching Post, is one that Paz and Jedediah have in common.

Jane is a photojournalist traveling worldwide with high- powered assignments and hasn't one iota of motherhood in her. Pete is a divorcee with an ex who cares more for her high-profile modeling career than her children. Her New York life and ambitions have left five-year-old Rachel and two-year-old Eric motherless, with over a year since she's paid a visit.

Jane is joining the family to prepare for the wedding plus document the restoration of the ranch and honeymoon hotel on the property, and setting up a website. This hot- smoking man intends to be "hands-off" when it involves allowing a woman near his children who puts her career before family. But of course nothing ever goes to plan, especially with Jed assigning Pete to play tour guide for Jane. Jane does some soul searching for what she truly wants for her life; especially since she has fallen in love with not only Pete, but his adorable children as well.

This talented author never fails to add that magic to her stories. Throw in a couple of little children, a rough, tough cowboy and a gorgeous woman and how can you miss? Pete's personal fear for his children is emotional and every woman's dream that the children always come first! A RANCHER OF HER OWN had me easily at page one and made it impossible to put the book down. I have had the pleasure of reading other creations from Barbara White Daille and she just keeps the plots and characters getting more vibrant and colorful with each tale. Finding renewal in a partner and a reason to love again, always finds a place in my heart. I truly love the Hitching Post Hotel series and can't wait for the story of the third granddaughter!!
