Raphael is the Archangel of Justice. His job is to be the champion of humans by being a warrior against demons, keeping them from the unknowing humans. He has not had any serious trouble in all the centuries he and his brothers had been doing their duty until now. Until he finds himself DESIRING A DEMON.
Astaroth (Asta) Sinclair's demon side is trying to take over from her human side. It's literally staining her skin red and raising her body temperature hot enough to incinerate her clothes. As if that were not enough troubles ... she is helplessly in love with Raphael. Even though it is impossible ... hello... he's an archangel and she certainly isn't. To make even their attraction possible Asta must find some answers ... and doing so sets off a chain reaction no one could have foreseen. Now her love for Raphael might save the world or it could very well destroy it.
DESIRING A DEMON is a different kind of paranormal that will have you glued to the pages. Though I love paranormals that are filled with shifters, and vampires this one has some superior looking angels and an adorable half demon, making it a nice change of pace. I especially liked that the angels were less than angelic ... in fact I would go so far as saying there is a bit of "bad boy -- good man" in all of them. The banter between them is fun, entertaining and perfectly in line with being brothers. Probably my one complaint would be I would like to have had a little more back story on these angels.
My impression of Asta is simple ... she is a fighter, has had to be growing up not knowing what was happening to her. She is trying desperately to hold onto her humanity and not hurt Raphael. I think I had a little bit of a problem with her not turning to Raphael. I thought she was trying too hard to find answers on her own when she knows he is right there and would do anything for her. If you are looking for an action packed, steamy and sweet angels and demons book then DESIRING A DEMON will fit your desire perfectly.
