Romance Historical

LOVE RELEASED WOMEN OF COURAGE #1 is an amazing new series by author Geri Foster. This book is a lot different from her action packed Falcon Securities books but I believe it will grab you and not let you go.

Cora Williams, was a doctor, born to a wealthy family but had spent the last five years in prison. Once released she finds they have turned their back on her completely and her only option is to go to a deceased aunt's home she inherited and begin to rebuild her life. A few complications arise ... she finds herself the guardian of her late sister's son, with her license revoked she can no longer practice as a doctor and jobs are hard to come by for everyone let alone a lone woman with a record. Top it all off the sheriff of the town turns out to be a sweet and sexy war hero who is somewhat troubled himself. As the truth slowly comes out about her past and the new friends she didn't know she had (and a couple you don't expect) come to her defense. It is eye opening to Cora as she is doing her best for herself, her nephew and the people who are slowly starting to mean a lot to her. If only the past would stay in the past and leave her alone.

Ms. Foster takes us back to the 1940's with men returning from the war and finding their lives would never be the same. If you are of the right age it might just give you a look into the world your parents lived in ... as mine did. I loved the quick witted dialogue, the different characters, some good and some horrible and the fact that you can actually feel what is going on in the small town this author has put together.

Though I am not a fan of serials ... you know what I mean ... the cliffhangers that leave you wanting more but you have to wait for the next book to come out and sometimes to be written. However in this case five of the books are available, but I can't help but hope for a few more of these riveting reads.

SUMMARY

EMOTIONALLY GRIPPING!

She’s running from a past, he’s duty-bound to protect her.

He stands on the other side of sorrow and despair with a love so vast and strong it reaches into her soul and sparks the courage to become the woman she dares.

Cora Williams is an ex-con with no place to go but Gibbs City, Missouri. A small mid-western town where she hopes to remain undisturbed and unobtrusive. With her nephew Jack, her wants are simple, to hide from the horrors of her past.

Sheriff Virgil Carter is a WW2 veteran with demons of his own, but Parker County is his to protect. That includes a young, beautiful woman newly released from prison who longs to be left alone.

Love often comes like sleep, softly, quietly and unexpectedly. You just have to close your eyes and dream.
