Did you ever go to college and decide you don't want to be in a sorority. Than you get the invite and you are thrilled. This is what happens to Taylor. If she joins, she is the fourth generation to be Beta Zetas. Of course, she would be invited because of the family history with this sorority.
So Taylor throws out all of her beliefs in life and joins. Taylor has no idea what will happen in rush week, but she thinks that she is prepared for the DIRTY RUSH. What she doesn't realize is what really dirty games some of the other sorority sisters will steep to.
Amazingly this is a true story, or at least most of it must be as The author is Taylor Bell same as the character in the book. I have never gone to college, but if I did go, after reading this I don't believe I would want to join a sorority. How odd that I would be reading this book at the same time that so much has been on the news about rush week. I do believe that some sororities have been getting away with a lot and maybe now, schools will take a closer look at what is going on.
I really did enjoy the freshman year of Taylor Bell. One think I would have liked to have seen less of is the F bomb. I know this is the way that a lot of the kids talk and even some adults, I have to say I have used it, but it was just used a little too much in the book.
It does sound like Taylor Bell went though a lot in college, and I'm glad to see someone write a book about their experiences. The cruel things that happened to her are hard to come to grips with. It amazes me that people would and could go though such lengths to harm other people.
DIRTY RUSH is a book that I think all young woman thinking of joining a sorority need to read.

In this shockingly true-to-life novel written by an all-star
team of Internet phenoms from the Total Frat Move
generation, youβll get the first true glimpse of βrealβ
sorority life in all its f**ked up glory.Dirty
Rush by Taylor Bell is what happens when you take
the creative minds behind Babe Walker (author of the New
York Times bestselling White Girl Problems
series) and add Rebecca Martinson to the mix. Rebecca
Martinsonβyes, that bitchβthe former Delta
Gamma sister responsible for the scathing, expletive-filled
email that verbally assaulted her entire chapter for being
βso f**king boringβ at social functions, and threatened to
βc*nt puntβ every last one of them if their behavior didnβt
shape up. Dirty Rush is a no-holds-barred look at
what really happens when you βgo Greek.β Taylor Bell
comes from a long line of Beta Zeta sorority sisters, who
all expect her to pledge upon starting at the university.
But Taylor has other plans: sheβs determined to give her
family the proverbial middle finger and destroy the rich
tradition they hold so dear by eschewing sorority life
altogether. However, Taylorβs resolve soon melts when she
falls in with a group of hilarious, ultra-saucy girls, who
introduce her to all things Greek and soften her to the idea
of joining. Resigned to the fate the Greek gods have dealt
her, Taylor pledges Beta Zeta and embarks on a collegiate
career filled with the kind of carousing sure to make any
sorority sister proud. Soon, Taylorβs experience as
a BZ starts to feel like a jacked-up, drug-infused, and
X-rated fairy taleβespecially when reality comes crashing
down and a rather lewd sex tape is leaked. The girl in the
video looks a lot like Taylor. Has Taylor gone off the deep
end? Or is someone trying to frame her? Unless she can prove
her innocence and re-ingratiate herself with the sisters
whoβve accused her of leaking the video in a Kim
Kardashianβstyle bid for attention, Taylor is at risk of
losing everything sheβs fought (partied) so hard for.
