Lyla's thousand year curse is about to end- but only if this human turned jinni can remain unBound. Pittsburgh has been a relatively safe haven for her as most of the pure bloods eschew it, as the Pittsburgh power Node is corrupted and virtually unusable. Unfortunately, a Magi comes looking for a seventeen year old girl who went missing after the death of her parents. Now Lyla finds herself Bound- but does her Master even understand the rules? Oz is like no Magi Lyla has ever known. Will Lyla remain Bound or will she finally break the curse that keeps her a jinni?
JINN AND JUICE is an interesting start to The Jinni series. I absolutely love the concept and Nicole Peeler does a great job at rapidly introducing the reader to the world of the jinni and the Magi. Oz continuously keeps Lyla off-balance and I think his character keeps the storyline from becoming too jaded. His sense of justice is refreshing and I like that he struggles with being in the role of Master.
Lyla's friends, however, are the real gems in JINN AND JUICE! I love their loyalty and sauciness in the face of danger and I look forward to seeing them in future adventures. Charlie, in particular, is a character I want to know more about as his Oracle powers are quite fascinating.
JINN AND JUICE is a fast paced and fun urban fantasy tale. Nicole Peeler sets the stage for what looks to be a fascinating series as we have a plethora of wonderful characters and a really nasty villain on the loose. I can't wait to see what the next book holds for us!

But Ozan Sawyer, a Magi with the ability to See, Call, and Bind jinn has other plans. Oz needs Leila to help him penetrate Pittsburgh's steel- soaked magic, a juice potent but poisonous to supernatural creatures, in order to find a missing girl with her own mysterious connection to Kouros.
