Garden Of Dreams And Desires

Fantasy Urban

Witches Giselle and Zara have started implementing their plan to unleash chaos magic and free New Orleans from the grasp of the fae. So what if this means a few tourists must go missing? However, their latest tourist/victim comes from a powerful family and the mother is holding Guardian Augustine Robelais responsible. Meanwhile, Augustine is more concerned with freeing Harlow Goodwin, who remains trapped in her own body with her dead twin sister, Ava Mae, running things. Kristen Painter concludes the Crescent City series with a bang as GARDEN OF DREAMS AND DESIRES jumps the reader headlong into the action. Start at the beginning if you want to appreciate this phenomenal series as the action and suspense have been mounting from the very first book and now we get to see how it all ends. And oh, I can't rave enough about the character development in GARDEN OF DREAMS AND DESIRES! Kristen Painter starts the Crescent City series off with two characters who aren't exactly likable and shows us their maturity and growth over the course of the series. By the second book, I loved Augustine but it is in GARDEN OF DREAMS AND DESIRES where Harlow gets my full support as well! GARDEN OF DREAMS AND DESIRES is pure urban fantasy fun! Kristen Painter delivers in every way with this spectacular and stunning conclusion to the Crescent City series. From the fast action to the political intrigue amongst the various races, GARDEN OF DREAMS AND DESIRES is a winner! My only regret at reading GARDEN OF DREAMS AND DESIRES is that the series is now over. Great job, Ms. Painter and I'm looking forward to more fantastic urban fantasy in the future!

SUMMARY

Magic is twisted and chaos reigns in this climactic final novel in the Crescent City trilogy by award-winning author Kristen Painter. New Orleans is on the brink of war. Harlow is a ghost in her own body. She has no control, no power -- all she can do is watch as her twin sister Ava Mae lives recklessly and foolishly, slowly destroying everything Harlow has worked so hard for. Augustine needs to focus on his new role as Guardian of New Orleans, as tourists mysteriously disappear off the streets, but all he can think of is rescuing Harlow -- Keeping his family safe. As the Coven grows more powerful, control of the city hangs in the balance and if the witches prevail, no fae will survive.
