After a successful thirteen book run, Charlaine Harris has finished the Sookie Stackhouse series with DEAD EVER AFTER. The years of countless adventures with Sookie have become so iconic that the series has been made into the popular TV show, True Blood. However for me personally, the books are always better portrayals than any visual media.

Throughout the entire series, fans have been trying to guess who Sookie ends up with and the result is both shocking and thrilling. It will no doubt cause a reaction in readers as they have grown to think of these characters and close friends. With Harris' ability to pen such lively characters, it's no wonder why the series has gained such a following!

Harris loves to recreate her characters, adding different dimensions to them as the series progresses. You will learn secrets about themselves you never knew and others you never expected. Harris pulls no punches in DEAD EVER AFTER, giving readers a whole lot to talk about in the series finale.

SUMMARY

THE FINAL SOOKIE STACKHOUSE NOVEL

There are secrets in the town of Bon Temps, ones that
threaten those closest to Sookieβ€”and could destroy her heart....

Sookie Stackhouse finds it easy to turn down the request of
former barmaid Arlene when she wants her job back at
Merlotte’s. After all, Arlene tried to have Sookie killed.
But her relationship with Eric Northman is not so clearcut.
He and his vampires are keeping their distance…and a cold
silence. And when Sookie learns the reason why, she is
devastated.

Then a shocking murder rocks Bon Temps, and Sookie is
arrested for the crime.

But the evidence against Sookie is weak, and she makes bail.
Investigating the killing, she’ll learn that what passes for
truth in Bon Temps is only a convenient lie. What passes for
justice is more spilled blood. And what passes for love is
never enough…
