Peggy Winn is infuriated by her now ex-boyfriend's latest
betrayal, and her regular trip to Scotland to seek out
stock
for her shop, ScotShop, is the perfect antidote. Little
does
Peggy expect to return home from Scotland with a ghost!
Unfortunately, a ghost isn't Peggy's only problem as her
philandering ex-boyfriend, Mason Kilmarty, is found dead
in
Peggy's shop. Can Peggy uncover the murderer and cope with
a
fourteenth century Scottish ghost?
The very first paragraph of A WEE MURDER IN MY SHOP hooked
me as I couldn't help but laugh at Peggy's reflection on
yoga breaths in the midst of her fury at Mason. However,
it
is the town of Hamelin, Vermont, however, that charms its
way into the readers hearts. I love the coziness of the
ScotShop and the Logg Cabin and only wished we'd seen just
a
bit more of this quaint town.
A WEE MURDER IN MY SHOP is a fun start to the ScotShop
Mystery series. I hope we get to see a bit more
character development as there were a lot of hints about
the
characters but not many questions were answered. I look
forward to seeing more of Dirk, the ghost, in particular
as
he gets his bearings in the modern world.
