Audrey is just putting her life back together after her former boyfriend left her for the allure of working in television. Now, he is offering her the opportunity to showcase her talent on Fix My Wedding, a reality TV show. As the owner of a flower shop, Audrey watches the show on a regular basis.

The show arrives in town with a bride who is obsessed with bells. As a florist who is extremely knowledgeable about the meaning of flowers, Audrey is asked to provide three different designs for the bridal bouquet and to explain the meanings of the various flowers on the show before the hosts make their final selection.

Before that selection can be made, Gary is found hanging from the bell rope in the church where the wedding is to take place. Since the clues all lead to Brad, the errant boyfriend, Audrey will be drawn into investigating the murder.

What she learns will put her in danger as the identity of the killer is exposed. While she investigates, Audrey also has to deal with two men vying for her attention. Brad seems to have forgotten that he left her behind. She is also dating Nick, who is catering the food for the cast and crew of the show.

FOR WHOM THE BLUEBELL TOLSS is the second in the series, A Bridal Bouquet Shop Mystery but my first exposure to it. There are some likable characters and an excellently plotted mystery. I will look forward to more books by Beverly Allen.
