Working as an ad exec and learning someone has stolen her designs, Melanie Cai is confronting her boss to take back her deserved credit. Her friend Shana has been right behind her, pushing her to the confrontation. Her plan was to help build up Johnson Ltd.'s standing in the marketplace while exposing Neyland for stomping on the little guy.

Billionaire Ryder Neyland (and 11th most eligible bachelor in the US) sets his sights to take down the pleasingly plumb female designer who cost him several million. Having no regard for women, Ryder has a history of using them for his purposes and then discarding them with an expensive kiss-off piece of jewelry. Melanie, half black and half chinese, is not normally the kind of woman that appeals to him and his first black woman to bed. He is drawn to her mouth and her large breasts as he's all about sex. Thus starts his pursuit ending the first liaison with hot, erotic sex. Melanie isn't what he expects though, as she doesn't bend to his every demand nor fall for his macho control. The more she seems to pull away, the more he is fascinated with her. By now she is head over heels in love with Ryder, but in no way letting him know.

I have never read any of the works from this author but found it different than most of my other reads. The story had a cute plot started for a short story and the characters were interesting, but I personally felt that the majority of the tale was all erotic and graphic sex while the story itself lacked complete story. I know it is hard in a short story to include a lot, but I was hoping for more story and not all sexual graphics. I did especially like Melanie's character as she portrayed a woman very confident and comfortable in her own skin.
