US Navy Seal Derek Vaughn and his team are on a mission to uncover critical intelligence regarding a terroristic plot against the United States. While the mission is a success and the intelligence is retrieved, it does so at great cost -- the life of a fellow Seal. The loss devastates the team, specifically Derek who had been the swim buddy of the lost Seal. It also ignites a fire in Derek to find and eliminate the person or person's responsible. Working with FBI Agent Elizabeth (Liz) LeBlanc is the icing on the cake. The two met and worked together on a previous case, and Derek has not been able to get Liz out of his mind.

FBI Agent Elizabeth (Liz) LeBlanc has just finished her latest case when she is recruited to be part of a counter- terrorism team assigned to follow up on the information that the Seal team gathered. Unfortunately the information points to a terror plot against the United States on US soil, specifically the city of Houston. It is a race against time to prevent a major disaster. Will the team figure out the plan before the terrorists have a chance to carry it out?

BEYOND LIMITS is a page turning, nail biting thriller from the very first scene to the very last page. In true Laura Griffin fashion, the reader is kept on the edge of your seat guessing the next steps in the fight against terrorism. I truly enjoyed the character development of Liz -- head strong, intelligent, fiery, can hold her own against anything that is thrown at her. Alpha heroes such as Derek are always a favorite. I enjoyed watching him piece together the terror plot, matching whit and determination against terrorists.

While BEYOND LIMITS is the eighth book in the Tracer series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone. I cannot wait to see what Ms. Griffin has in store for us with the next book.

SUMMARY

An FBI agent and a Navy SEAL race against time in New York Times bestselling author Laura Griffin’s newest Tracers novel.

FBI agent Elizabeth LeBlanc is still caught in the aftermath of her last big case when she runs into the one man from her past who is sure to rock her equilibrium even more. Navy SEAL Derek Vaughn is back home from a harrowing rescue mission in which he found evidence of a secret terror cell on US soil. Elizabeth knows he’ll do anything to unravel the plot—including seducing her for information. And despite the risks involved, she’s tempted to let him. Together with the forensics experts at the Delphi Center, Derek and Elizabeth are closing in on the truth, but it may not be fast enough to avert a devastating attack…

Following in the bestselling tradition of the Tracers series, including Exposed, Scorched, and Twisted, Beyond Limits pulls out all the stops with Griffin’s most gripping thriller yet.
