Romance Contemporary

ROCKED BY THE BILLIONAIRE is Book three in the Billionaire's Club: Texas series by Mandy Baxter. After first meeting rock star Luke "Lucifer" Blackwell, at the opening of ROCKED BY THE BILLIONAIRE, I wasn't sure I was going to like him. I worried that Luke would end up being the typical cocky, obnoxious celebrity. Thankfully this did not turn out to be the case. Luke does have the confidence that comes from success and fame, but he has no trouble humbling himself when it comes to his former flame and first love.

The main obstacle to Luke and Kaleigh finding happiness together again is Luke's struggle to convince Kaleigh of how important she is to him. I like that ROCKED BY THE BILLIONAIRE is told from both points of view. The feeling of intense longing and first love rediscovered is captured beautifully in ROCKED BY THE BILLIONAIRE. The intimate scenes between Luke and Kaleigh are extremely erotic and scorching.

I liked how flawed and real the main characters are in ROCKED BY THE BILLIONAIRE. As much as Kaleigh holds onto some hurt from her first parting from Luke years ago, she's also mature enough to realize that she's not perfect either. In spite of their flaws, I like that both Luke and Kaleigh try to do the right thing and I love Luke's commitment to making their relationship work. His sexiness and his adoration of Kaleigh make Luke a great character. After reading the previous books in this series, it was nice seeing Luke's brother Ryder.

ROCKED BY THE BILLIONAIRE is a super steamy romance that packs a strong emotional punch. Luke Blackwell is a delicious blend of rocker and cowboy. Mandy Baxter crafts a powerful story of two people who reconnect and discover that their love still lives. I look forward to the next book by Mandy Baxter.

SUMMARY

The sexy Billionaire’s Club takes Texas in ROCKED BY THE BILLIONAIRE by Mandy Baxter.

Bad-boy Luke "Lucifer" Blackwell is living the life. Being the lead singer for the rock group Riot 59 has brought him everything he could ever want—billions of dollars, endless parties, and enough groupies to last a lifetime. But when Luke’s wild life starts to wear him down, he returns home to Texas—and ends up in the arms of the one woman who’s always made his heart beat faster than a pounding drum…

Kayleigh Taylor likes being a small-town girl, so she’s always been wary of Luke Blackwell’s fast-paced life—and of Luke himself. Fully expecting never to see the sexy singer who broke her heart years before, Kayleigh is completely shocked to find him back home, avoiding the spotlight and pursuing her instead. Kayleigh knows this can’t be right--his heart was always devoted to his music. But as they spend more and more time together, Luke is awfully convincing that his heart belongs to someone else…
