On Halloween night, Livi Kane is at her aunt Roz's bar
with her best friend Tessa. Livi a wallflower, she is
terribly shy in social situations but on that particular
night, she's decided to be daring and go after her
ultimate fantasy. She wants to have sex with a gorgeous
SEAL, and the bar is where to find one. Livi's costume is
a Twinkie, which is not exactly enticing, especially
since she's known as the Body Babe; she's a fitness
instructor and personal trainer. She's also wary of
relationships, since her ex-husband ran off with her
money and left her with debts. Then she sees "him":
Super Hottie, Lt. Commander Mitch Donovan, and Mitch
can't take his eyes off her either in spite of her silly
costume. Mitch is at the bar with his friends, and one of
them upon hearing that the gorgeous blonde is the famous
physical fitness guru, dares them to a push-ups contest.
A SEAL'S SECRET took me completely by surprise! It starts
off as a light, sexy, cute story about the beautiful but
bashful Livi and handsome and super confident Mitch and
what seemed like a hook-up leading to a sweet and sexy
happy-ever-after. But, oh my! Tawny Weber surreptitiously
weaves an extraordinarily touching story around these two
characters. A SEAL'S SECRET is also possibly the sexiest
story the author has ever penned: the chemistry between
Livi and Mitch is incendiary, but the pairing of these
two exceptionally beautiful people leads to a reflective
look as what really makes them tick. Mitch doesn't make
mistakes, period; he's very self-assured, but neither
arrogant nor cocky. Nothing ever goes wrong in his life,
and his future relies on what will further advance his
career; it's all very simple for him; he's never really
had to make any decisions. As for Livi, everyone has
always made the decisions for her, and she has no idea
what she really wants; she's not stupid, but she never
had to think for herself before.
Then comes a point in A SEAL'S SECRET where both Livi and
Mitch have to make decisions about their careers, where
their relationship is going, and here Ms. Weber shines as
never before. A SEAL'S SECRET is very different from Ms.
Weber's two previous SEAL's books in tone, but the author
pursues the angle that started with the most recent
instalments in this series. Using her immense talent, she
delves deeper in the psychology of her characters and
their emotional involvement in what starts off as an
uncomplicated a sexual relationship. Livi and Mitch's
story progresses during intimate conversations, as well
as how they deal with their relationships with their
respective parents; as we watch their romance blossom,
they come into their own as people.
A SEAL'S SECRET is
captivating, compelling and very sensual. A SEAL'S SECRET
is a truly exceptional book, Tawny Weber's best ever; she
has pushed her boundaries as I never thought possible; I
feel it might be just the beginning of something quite
extraordinary.

Excerpt“That’s not what you’re wearing?” Mitch teased as he reached
out to rub the fabric of her robe between two fingers. “It looks perfect to me.” His simple words were offered with a smile. But there was a
look in his eyes that fascinated Livi. A promise of
delights she’d never imagined, a rock-solid confidence that
he’d be the best she’d ever encounter. Livi didn’t know where it came from. She was never forward
with men. Even after a year of marriage she’d always waited
for Derrick to initiate sex. But this was Mitch. She felt things with him that she’d never felt before. Edgy desire and a white-hot need. Tempting passion and naughty hunger. And comfort. As if she were safe. Not just physically safe because he
was a SEAL. But safe to be herself, without fear of judgment
or reprisal. It was a total turn-on. “Actually,” she told him as she unknotted her robe, “I
thought I might wear this.” It only took a tiny shrug to send the fabric sliding over

room for them in a body filled with desire. “You wear that and we’re going to have some problems,” Mitch said, his voice a little huskier than before. The
hand that’d tested the fabric of her robe slid along her
bare arm now, close enough to warm her breast, but not
touching. Need coiled, low and tight in Livi’s belly. “What sort of problems?” she asked, not moving. Barely
breathing. “Hunger problems,” he told her as his hand skimmed her waist
now, up to the edge of her bra, then down her side to the
tiny strip of lace at her hip. “We’re definitely going to
go hungry.” She didn’t see him move. She had no idea how he went from standing a foot away to
sweeping her into his arms, but there she was. Livi gasped,
wrapping her arms around his shoulders so she wouldn’t fall. The she realized she was in no danger of falling. At least,
not onto the ground. “Nobody’s ever swept me off my feet before,” she said, a
little stunned. “Let’s see what else we can do that you’ve never done
before,” Mitch suggested just before his mouth took hers.
