At Elliott Richard's Club Babylon, it is anything one desires. With VIP status guests are open to areas of the club that regular guests aren't privileged to. To make that happen is Thandie Shaw, club promoter. In New York, Thandie's status as promoter is infamous.
Thandie Shaw is a successful independent business owner and is good at what she does. As owner of Shaw Public Relations, she has worked hard to get where she is and her contacts prove that. When the opportunity presents itself to work for the enigmatic and rich Miami club owner, Elliot Richards, she knows she has to get it. Too bad Elliot isn't that thrilled with employing a woman. Fortunately for her, her friend Warren Radcliffe is one of the investors.
As soon as Thandie meets Elliot, his plan is perfectly clear. He plans to seduce her. However, she is determined to fight him on it every step of the way. She's not looking to be just another notch on his belt. However, when Thandie gets near Elliot, her will to refuse him evaporates. The sexual encounters between Thandie and Elliot are a slow burn with enough sexual tension thrown in that sucks you right in.
BEYOND THE VELVET ROPE takes the reader to the side of the public relations that many of the public don't see. The ending has also a twist that I didn't see coming. Tiffany Ashley is a new author for me as well as a new writer, BEYOND THE VELVET ROPE being her second publication. I can not wait to see if Ms. Ashley will continue with the series. This is certainly a series that I would recommend reading!
