This is a wonderfully horrific little tale that is definitely not for the squeamish. While it does harbor plenty of revenge served up on a platter; I found it impossible to feel sorry for the men in PSYCHO THRILL-SUFFER MY SWEET. The character of Evelyn is so perfectly crafted that you cannot decide if she is insane or just really ticked off. Either way, she is a character that you are not likely to forget anytime soon, and while you may fear her and find her actions terrifying; you will also find it difficult to fault her. In fact, you may be hard pressed not to cheer for her.

If you are an avid horror fan, PSYCHO THRILL-SUFFER MY SWEET is the perfect appetizer to enjoy before taking on a larger, longer story. Michael Marcus Thurner seems to understand the female psyche rather well for a man. He certainly has crafted a deliciously horrifying tale of revenge that will have you questioning whether you ever want to see any of your high school classmates again.

SUMMARY

Throughout high school, Evelyn professed her love for Marco, but he wanted nothing to do with the girl everyone despised. Evi's hobbies were just too weird. She collected all sorts of weird things, like insects, carefully pinning them to cardboard, or capturing them in glass jars for display. Evi was the laughing stock of her class. Twenty years, later, however, Evelyn seduces Marco at the high school reunion, and they begin a sultry affair. Marco isn't sure if it's love, but he doesn't care: the sex is the best he's ever had. But for Evi, it's more than just a fling. Because if there is one thing she loves more than anything, it's her precious collections. PSYCHO THRILL is a series of horror novellas - from classic ghost story to psychological thriller and dark fantasy.
