Tabitha "Tab" Drake had briefly met Andrew "Drew" Bode a
couple of months previously through a friend of a friend.
Tab thinks he could be good-looking if he only knew how
to dress; she would know: she's a stylist. Drew is CEO of
Bode-Wynn, a military contracting firm, and fate has it
that, in order for him to win a major contract he needs
Tab's professional help, but not directly for himself.
Tab's friend Jasmine, who works for Drew, has
"volunteered" Tab to help Drew. However Tab's condition
is that he agrees to let her reorganise his closet, and
to put it mildly he's reluctant.
To begin with, I found the blurb for NAUGHTY LITTLE
WISHES a bit misleading, because the style makeover for
Drew is not precisely what the story is about. On the
other hand, NAUGHTY LITTLE WISHES is much more than that:
it's a great deal more original and interesting than what
I anticipated; I was not expecting such an emotional and
complex story. Drew is not a hopelessly poor dresser
because he has no taste or the inclination; his grooming
habits are intimately tied with events from his past.
He's very rigid and shuns all forms of disorder, and it
was interesting how an impulsive and lively character
such as Tab dealt with him. Their mutual attraction is
undeniable from the beginning, even though they are
complete opposites, they cannot overlook the spark.
However Drew doesn't seem to know how to relax and enjoy
himself, or even care about anything but work; and Tab
intends to change his outlook on life and love.
NAUGHTY LITTLE WISHES features quite complex and very
engaging characters, and the banter between friends
Jasmine and Tab is very enjoyable; there are also some
unanticipated plot twists. NAUGHTY LITTLE WISHES is a
young, sexy, fast paced, and very well written book.
Opposites attract. Enemies ignite...
There's nothing personal stylist Tabitha Drake loves more
than pissing off Andrew Bode. He's uptight, he refuses to
agree with her on anything, and she loathes the hideous
brown suits and red power ties he wears. The man even
hates ice cream. How can her best friend work for a man
who hates ice cream? But the absolute worst thing about
Drew? He's sexy as hell, and she's totally and
ridiculously attracted to him.
Andrew Bode, CEO of the Bode-Wynn military contracting
firm, is convinced he and Tab will never get along.
Unfortunately, the infuriating—and sinfully tempting—
stylist is his ticket to a major account. The only way to
get what he wants is to agree to Tab's terms: a style
makeover. However, Drew has a few terms of his own, most
of which involve her naked in his bed. But neither of them
are prepared when their lust-fueled hostility turns into
something altogether unexpected...
