Romance | Romance Contemporary

Did you ever see a dream walking? Sara Charles, helicopter pilot, was waiting for her client, Dr. Lucas Angelo to arrive at the terminal, for a flight to the Hamptons for a fund raiser. Sara is trying hard to save her family's helicopter chartering company. Her father is down with an injury suffered in a crash and they are now down to one helo, and Dr. Angelo is an important client. Tall, dark and breathtakingly handsome, he walks toward her like a tiger. He had only spoken about six sentences to her during the three trips they traveled together. His eyes were always focused on his silver laptop open on his nap and he never looked up during the flight.

In the three times she has seen Lucas, he has always worn a suit. A Deep charcoal suit, for the first flight to a hospital in New Jersey. A Medium grey suit for the hop to Staten Island and a Navy suit with pinstripes for JFK. This time he wore a tuxedo and he looked like he was born to wear one. He was tuxedo-clad perfection, a tailor's dream come true. She, on the other hand looked blah! Her pilot's uniform of black sensible pants, sensible black shoes and sensible blue shirt with headset hair. One should never got crushes on their clients especially the ones who had money, lots of it and power. And clients like Lucas who has his picks of models and sex goddesses. Keep dreaming, Sara, he's way out of your league, even if you are pretty and sexy.

When Lucas arrives back at the terminal for his return to Manhattan, Sara tells him a violent and dangerous storm has grounded all flights. Desperate to get back to the city for an emergency surgery early the next morning, Lucas talks Sara into driving with him in a rented car so he will stay awake. An emergency stop at a motel, forced because of the worsening storm, ignites a hot, sexy romp and a romance begins to simmer. Lucas is smitten and wants more of Sara.

Lucas and his two best friends, Alex and Mal have bought the struggling N.Y Saint's Professional baseball team and he hires Sara to become the team's private pilot as the team is in spring training in Florida. He insures he will be able to see Sara frequently and get him back and forth between Florida and New York as he works with the team to build it into a winning team, and keep up with his surgery. He makes Sara an offer she can't refuse.

The more they see of each other, the more attached they become. Sara has misgivings because of their socially mismatched lives. She needs the business and tries to keep away from Lucas but he has other ideas. A sexy, romantic romp with a numerous performance from Dougal, Sara's dog, added to my enjoyment.

ANGEL IN ARMANI is a sweet love story and if you are a fan of baseball that is an added plus to this lighthearted and enjoyable read.
