Ivy left all her secrets behind her. Ivy now has a job
that she enjoys, being a bank teller.
Ivy lives in a nice apartment with her childhood friend
Logan. Logan was always there for Ivy when they were
growing up. Now, as adults he is still looking out for
her.
Devon is a business man, or is he? Devon keeps coming
into the bank that Ivy works at and will only go to her
window. While Devon is very handsome, Ivy wants nothing to
do with him.
As much as Ivy doesn't want to get to know Devon, they
keep
running into each other. You see Devon is really a spy.
Ivy gets a glimpse of his other life when she see him kill
a
man in the alley. Devon doesn't want to get involved with
Ivy but now he really has no choice.
People are looking for Devon, so he has to protect Ivy any
way he can. As much as Ivy doesn't want him, he keeps
coming to her rescue. Ivy feels she can let go on her old
nightmares with Devon. She believes that he wouldn't
hurt her. Logan on the other hand, only sees all the
danger that Ivy gets into because of Devon and wants her
to
stay clear of him. Ivy does not want to give him up and
will always be IN HIS SHADOW.
I really enjoyed IN HIS SHADOW by Tiffany Snow. Snow
grips
you in from the start. There are no boring parts in this
book. I
found myself wishing I had a hand fan near me as some of
the
parts are pretty steamy. Not so much that you would be
offended by it. The story telling is beyond words as you
read the ups and downs of falling in love with a spy.
IN HIS SHADOW is fast reading, since it's the first in the
Tangled Ivy series I hope we see these characters
again.
Ivy Mason is hiding—from her past, from herself, and from
anyone who could love her. The only kind of love she’s
ever
known hurts, leaving scars on her body and soul. Now, her
world may be boring and predictable, but that’s exactly
what
she wants. Until Devon Clay walks into her life.
A lonely man in a deadly profession, Devon works as an
agent
for an underground British agency known only as the
Shadow.
Nothing about him is safe or ordinary. The danger that
consumes his life turns into an addiction Ivy can’t
resist…even if it proves fatal.
As Ivy’s past begins to catch up with her, she wonders if
love really is the twisted thing she’s always thought it
was. Maybe it could be more with this man, who’s shown her
that she doesn’t need to protect herself from everyone. Is
what she feels for Devon worth the risk? He may save her
heart or break it, if she manages to stay alive.
