Karen, Abby and Michael had never met before. But they all have something in common. They all need help.
Karen had lost her husband suddenly. They were riding home in a train and he had a heart attack. Now her father is in the last stages of Alzheimer's. All three end up in a clinic to help straighten out their lives. Karen only goes during the day as her problems are not as sever as Abby and Michael. Abby was found by her soon to be ex after she took some pills. Michael just lost it one day and his wife had him committed.
They all with the help of each other and the doctors at the clinic realize that they can over come all their problems. While for Karen it is much easier, she must learn to put herself first and not worry so much about everyone else For Michael, he now knows that he is not alone in his problems. For Abby it is the letting go of her marriage and must learn to deal with all of her son's problems. They all come to realize that it is always ANOTHER NIGHT, ANOTHER DAY
Sarah Rayner's books are very insightful of some of the everyday problems that people go though. Sarah Rayner gives a birds eye view of what it might be like for someone's life to all of a sudden be turned upside down. I really enjoyed the way her three main characters interacted with each other while in the clinic and when they were out. There were several other characters in this books that had small parts but made an impacted on the main characters
I really enjoyed Sarah Rayner's writing. ANOTER DAY, ANOTHER NIGHT is a great book, and I would like to see a sequel to see where these three characters lives ended up.
