Jessica Gregory has always longed for adventure. After twenty-eight years of playing by the rules other people have set for her, she decides to take a teaching job in Thailand. While there, she finds new friends and a life she never imagined she would have. To further her adventure, she decides to try something even more daring and joins Grant Flynn's crew on their shipping journey across the Indian Ocean. There, Jessica will find love, excitement, and a danger she never expected.

THE UNIMAGINABLE by Dina Silver is pleasantly surprising story of adventure and daring. Jessica is a protagonist who is extremely relatable. She feels stuck in her current place in life and decides to take a chance to change it. While her dialogue is a bit overdone at points, the plot makes up the small faults. From dealing with a perhaps not so grievous death to sailing across the ocean, the action is nonstop. The plot is far from predictable and keeps the reader on his or her toes, eager for the next twist.

The romance, though a bit dramatic at times, is rich with warmth, struggle, and quiet swoons. The connection between Grant and Jessica is well built and meaningful, surging throughout the novel in a slow burn. The emotional baggage between them gets a tad heavy at times, but their intimacy is sure to leave readers happily sighing when they have a sweet moment.

Dina Silver shows off her talent for plotting a well imagined adventure love story in THE UNIMAGINABLE. Perfect for fans of EAT, PRAY, LOVE who are looking for something with a bit more bite, this novel would make an excellent addition to their shelf.

SUMMARY

From the author of One Pink Line comes a story about letting go of the past and finding bravery in the depths of fear. Set on the sun-soaked beaches of Thailand and the rough waters of the Indian Ocean, The Unimaginable paints a vivid portrait of a young woman on a journey to find herself—and her harrowing fight for survival.

After twenty-eight years of playing by the rules, Jessica Gregory moves from her small Indiana town to Phuket, Thailand. But her newfound routine is upended with the arrival of Grant Flynn, a captivating, elusive man who is sailing around the world while trying to move on from a past tragedy. Jessica volunteers to help crew Grant’s boat, Imagine, on a passage across the Indian Ocean and finds herself falling in love with him as the voyage gets underway. But when disaster strikes, Jessica must summon her courage as the crew is confronted by unspeakable terrors––and, aboard a boat named for such promise, comes the unimaginable.
