Fantasy Urban

Barbara Yager is older and more powerful than she looks, and takes her job as Baba Yaga very seriously. So when she is summoned to help find a missing child she is determined to catch the culprit. What she doesn't expect is an attractive sheriff as a partner, and Otherworld enemies. Now Barbara and Sheriff Liam McClellan must battle both human and Otherworld enemies to rescue three innocent children. WICKEDLY DANGEROUS by Deborah Blake is a paranormal adventure complete with romance and excitement. Deborah Blake has taken the legend of Baba Yaga and given it a fresh, new spin. Barbara Yager is not the Baba Yaga from your childhood, but a magically new and fierce heroine whose odd and mysterious ways will entrance readers. Sheriff Liam McClellan will have readers' sympathy and love from the very beginning. His big heart, and loyalty to his community make him an excellent hero. Secondary characters, such as Chudo -- Yudo, Mikhail, Gregori, and Alexei add wit and humor to WICKEDLY DANGEROUS. Blake's villain is completely evil and the stuff or nightmares. With snappy dialogue, dangerous villains, a loyal sheriff, and an angry Baba Yaga, WICKEDLY DANGEROUS is the kind of paranormal adventure that will keep readers up at night.

SUMMARY

Known as the wicked witch of Russian fairy tales, Baba Yaga is not one woman, but rather a title carried by a chosen few. They keep the balance of nature and guard the borders of our world, but don't make the mistake of crossing one of them... Older than she looks and powerful beyond measure, Barbara Yager no longer has much in common with the mortal life she left behind long ago. Posing as an herbalist and researcher, she travels the country with her faithful (mostly) dragon-turned-dog in an enchanted Airstream, fulfilling her duties as a Baba Yaga and avoiding any possibility of human attachment. But when she is summoned to find a missing child, Barbara suddenly finds herself caught up in a web of deceit and an unexpected attraction to the charming but frustrating Sheriff Liam McClellan. Now, as Barbara fights both human enemies and Otherworld creatures to save the lives of three innocent children, she discovers that her most difficult battle may be with her own heart...
