In this sequel to Alpha Wolf's Pet, Hidden, Mia finds her
screwed up world even more confusing. She is still
frightened that the Russian mob, is still determined to
kill her, but now she has added danger. Dominic's world is
filled with just as much danger if she gives in and
becomes
the ALPHA WOLF'S PET, KEPT.
Dominic can have a human lover and soon finds he only
wants
to be with Mia and make her an accepted part of his pack.
He can give her pleasure beyond belief, protection from
the
mob but werewolves never marry humans. He has no choice in
that, even though he is beginning to be torn with the
thought of losing her but giving her any status in the
pack
could lose him his loyal pack. Misunderstandings and a
little help from his mother sends Mia into danger that Dom
just might not be able to save her and bring her home
from.
ALPHA WOLF'S PET, KEPT is the fantastic second book of
Eva
Gordon's Alpha Wolf's Pet series. The world that
these
wolves live in has their own rules that tend to bend what
we think a werewolf is allowed (or not allowed) to do.
Their rules are different which adds a number of very
interesting moments of confusion especially on Mia's part.
I love watching Dom try to figure out what he is feeling
and what he is going to do, he wants no one but his Mia,
but that isn't possible ... or is it ... we will have to
see.
In this book at one point, after being pretty much chased
away by Dom's mother, she heads to where her grandmother
is
being hidden and is able to see her one last time. I found
this part very touching and a little sad but it fit
perfectly into the storyline. It is also the perfect lead
into the next hit of danger that Mia must face. Well
there
is one more bit of danger from a psycho wolf lady but
that
one I found funny, since it involves a forbidden dog
whistle. I really did love ALPHA WOLF'S PET, KEPT and I
can't wait to
see how Ms. Gordon gives her readers the HEA we crave ...
I
am sure it will be in a totally unexpected way.
In the sequel to Alpha Wolf’s Pet, Hidden, Mia has two
choices: remain hidden, frightened by the Russian mob
determined to murder her, or become a sworn member and
under
the protection of Dominic’s werewolf pack. Being Dominic's
human lover is pleasurable while taxing. She wants more
than
he can give: commitment. Except werewolves never marry
humans. Carnal desires aside, will she accept her low
status
within the pack in order to share what little time she has
with Dominic until he takes a werewolf mate?
Dominic is torn. If he gives Mia beta status, his pack
will
mutiny. If he doesn’t, she’ll leave. Her stubborn
independent nature will turn his world of strict pack
rules
upside down and he’ll be scorned as pack enforcer. He
loves
her, but his pack rules will never allow him to claim a
human as his mate. Worse, he’s drawn to Mia's addictive
blood. Was one taste too much?
Despite breaking the witness protection rules and looming
danger, Mia is determined to visit her ailing grandmother.
Can Dominic protect her from the mob, as well as from his
kind? As their passion reaches a fevered pitch, will
circumstances crush their happiness?
