Last Chance Family is book number eight in the Last Chance series.

Mike Taggert is a professional gambler. When he receives word that his half sister, Angie, has passed away and he now has custody of his niece, he doesn't know what to do. At first he thinks she is the Demon Child, but as time goes by, she finds a place in his heart and there isn't anything he won't do for her.

Charlene is a veterinarian assistant who is still waiting to fall in love with "the one". She thinks it's her boss, Doctor Dave, but after she finds out he is gay, she figures she is never going to find Mr. Right. She pretty much gives up. But when she meets Mike with his niece and her cat she figures he will just be a friend and nothing more. But when she gets closer to his niece and becomes friends with the cat, she realizes that she wants both Mike and his family in her life. She just has to get the courage to do what she wants instead of what her parents want for her. Charlene comes from an old-fashioned well to-do family with strict ideals and morals. She has to follow her heart even if it might get broken. Charlene feels that Rainbow is her redemption.......to what you ask? Hope Ramsay wrote a wonderful story in LAST CHANCE FAMILY about finding family when you aren't even looking, about love and personal redemption. LAST CHANCE FAMILY absolutely broke my heart, and put it right back together again. Keep the box of tissues right next to you because you are going to need them.

I have always loved Hope Ramsay's books and LAST CHANCE FAMILY is exactly why. She has a way of pulling you right in and never letting you go. The small town of Last Chance is the perfect place to live and everyone is so nice. You feel as if you are visiting with old friends and as you will soon find out, there is never a dull moment in Last Chance. Make a pot of coffee, grab your favorite blanket, and get on your couch and spend the day with all the wonderful people of LAST CHANCE FAMILY! You wont be sorry you did, the only thing you will be sorry about is when it's over and you want to keep reading.
