Oberon, High King of the Fae, King of the Gray Court, is missing. He just doesn't realize it just at the moment. He has no memory of who he is, where he came from or what he is doing out in the cold walking along the highway. Instinct tells him that only one person can save him, a woman with turquoise eyes and beautiful voice ... a SIREN'S SONG.
Cassandra (Cass) knows the truth of who he is ... she also knows that he is her truebond, the one man born to be hers and hers alone. But she must put that aside, for Oberon had a bond torn apart before and she isn't sure how he would feel about another. Now she must help him restore his memory and keep him out of the clutches of whoever has poisoned him.
To her amazement, when his memory does return completely, he makes a vow to protect her and return to his rightful place with his Queen by his side. Now if they can just get to the bottom of the poisoning and the threat Cass doesn't know about yet. Just when she thinks they are fairly safe all hell breaks loose.
SIREN'S SONG is a fast paced read, filled with danger and intrigue that starts off where author Dana Marie Bell's The Hob ended. Every page you turn will bring you something new, some new character with fantastic abilities, a new fear or a new wonder. This is after all a romantic fantasy ... and Ms. Bell does a really amazing job of giving us a fantasy world with a good hint of romance intertwined.
If you have not read any of this series I would suggest starting with the first, so as to not have any confusion on characters. I admit I missed a couple of her Gray Court books, something I will amend right away, because I saw some things in this one that I want to know more about so I will go back and read about them. SIREN'S SONG is a very good fantasy book that will certainly take you away from your world for awhile. Can't wait for the next one to join my TBR shelf.
