Skylar Baang awakes to footsteps in her home. Before she
can escape, she is drugged and kidnapped. Because she works
for the Navy as a research scientist, NCIS is called in on
the case. Special Agent Vincent Fitzgerald finds where the
kidnappers are holding Skylar and, just as she is trying to
escape, he rescues her. They flee to a safe house, only to
be found again by these Russian kidnappers.
After a bloody battle ensues, Vin and Sky take off for a
remote cabin belonging to a friend of his. It would really
be nice to know who is after Sky and what they want. NCIS
can't come up with any leads as to who is trying to kidnap
Sky, and the men Vin left dead at the safe house only turn
out to be Russian mercenaries for hire. Can Vin keep her
safe until they can find the person behind this attack? Can
he keep his heart safe from falling for Sky?

very strong characters, who are literally running for their
lives. The action and romance is hot and intense. Karen
Anders gives us a story about sacrificing what you want
out of life for others, about sharing real emotions and not
holding on to the past. Vin and Sky have two different
mindsets based on two different cultures. Can they get past
their preconceived ideas about how they should live their
lives and move forward to what they really want? Hold on
