If a reader could not get enough of dominants and submissives from Fifty Shades of Grey, then LONGING by Jamie K. Schmidt should satisfied your craving. It is the second in a new series, Club Inferno. It is definitely one of those books that has you wondering what else could go wrong for the main character, in this case Anya Litton.
Anya Litton, a model and a fashion designer who has done a little less modeling lately has much insecurity with herself. At a size fourteen, and wanting a part in an off-Broadway play, her agent tells her she has to lose several pounds before she would be considered. Then she meets Clint Reyes, a Dom at Club Inferno. With his own dreams to one day own a bar, he is a stripper part time as well. There is something about Anya that he can't explain. As he opens her eyes up to his world she finds that she can feel desirable again. Is this perfect sexy man for real? Could he really mean everything that he tells her? Or is he playing her for his own pleasures? Both are put through tests of jealousy but can their relationship survive it?
I have to admit LONGING keeps you second-guessing certain characters' actions. I love how things are resolved throughout the storyline with each obstacle. However, a little more of making the reader wait for each resolution could not have hurt. The storyline is great with many things happening but not in way that you get lost. The characters are beautifully mixed in a plot that works.
LONGING takes you to a world of the dominants and submissives that others have not. If you are looking for an erotic novel that will fulfill that wild side, then LONGING by Jamie K. Schmidt should be on your bookshelf.
