Deputy District Attorney Danielle Barclay is receiving
threatening letters, packages and notes. Her dad, a United
States Senator, hires Jake Rabb, a former Delta Force
soldier, as her bodyguard, since Dani is too stubborn to
stay at her dad's home. Jake's not thrilled about following
around a Senator's daughter either. This infuriates Dani at
first, but as more threats come, she is glad Jake is there
to protect her.
When Dani receives a package on the fourth anniversary of
her mother's disappearance, Jake believes there could be
more than meets the eye here, and there may be a connection
between the two events. Madelyn Barclay was never found,
even though Senator Barclay hired the best Atlanta firm to
search for her. Now Jake has to put all the pieces together
and find Dani's stalker before the stalker gets Dani.
Jane M. Choate's KEEPING WATCH is an inspirational
thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat,
waiting to see what direction this tangled plot will head
next. There are lots of twists and turns to keep the reader
engaged and rooting for Jake to find Dani's stalker. Jake
and Dani are both very strong characters, along with an
eclectic mix of supporting characters that bring some very
interesting elements to the story. Jane M. Choate
pens an inspiring story about forgiveness and overcoming
your past, about turning your burdens over to the Lord and
letting Him carry them. Both Jake and Dani want to make a
difference in this crazy world. Each goes about doing that
in a different manner. Inspirational suspense is one of my
favorite genres, and KEEPING WATCH is a great one!
Despite the threats against her life, Danielle Barclay
thinks having a bodyguard is unnecessary. Or at least
that's what she tells herself before meeting Jake Rabb. A
former Delta Force soldier, Jake is used to rope-lining
from helicopters into enemy territory—not following around
a senator's daughter. The lovely deputy district attorney
is as strong-willed as she is brave, especially when the
escalating danger assures Jake that her stalker means
business. As the attacks become personal, Danielle finally
puts her trust—and her feelings—on the line with her
defender. But how will Jake protect her if the stalker is
closer than they think?
