Lick is book one in Kylie Scott's Stage Dive
Series. Each
book is a stand alone, which features the love stories of
each of the band members. This book is Evelyn and David's
story.
Evelyn Thomas and her best friend celebrate her twenty-
first
birthday with a trip to Vegas. However, the trip didn't
go
quite as planned. She wakes up on the bathroom floor with
a
hangover to rival the black plague and a hot half naked
man
in her room, and searches her memory for anything...but
comes up empty. She can not remember a single thing. The
huge diamond on her finger should giver her some sort of a
clue.
David Ferris thought he met the woman he has been
searching
for. However, after a wild night of drinking, tattoos,
and
a visit to the wedding chapel, his new wife can not
remember
a single thing. Hurt and furious, he storms out of her
hotel.
Evelyn can not believe she got married. This is not part
of
her master plan. She is suppose to finish school, work on
her career before she even thought about marriage. Hoping
no one will find out, she boards a plane home to find that
her world has been just turned upside down.
The press and paparazzi are camped outside her parent's
home. The attractive guy with the tattoos and guitar picks
in her hotel bathroom happens to be heavy metal guitarist,
David Ferris, of the band Stage Dive. David arranges for
Evelyn to come to his home in Laurel Canyon and figure out
how they will manage the press and the divorce that Evelyn
claims she wants.
I really enjoyed this book...so much that I read it in one
sitting in less than 24 hours. LICK is that good! There
was
just something about Evelyn and David's first encounter
the
morning after that you just wanted things to work out
between them. In the beginning Evelyn was the weak
heroine, but ended up finding her backbone with David's
help
towards the end. The pair compliment each other
wonderfully. Kylie Scott's writing keeps the story
running
smoothly. I can not wait to get my hands on the other
books
of this series!
LICK shows that Kylie Scott can
successfully write a romance novel out of the paranormal
genre.

SUMMARY
Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like
this.
Evelyn Thomas's plans for celebrating her
twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she
sure never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a
hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive
half-naked tattooed man in her room, and a diamond on her
finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could
just remember how it all happened.
One thing is
certain, being married to one of the hottest rock stars
on the planet is sure to be a wild ride.
