I was drawn in by the title, THE VIRGIN'S GUIDE TO MISBEHAVING, which suggested a fun, flirty, and sexy read. I'm pleased to report that Jessica Clare delivered what I expected and so much more. I so enjoyed this third book in the Bluebonnet series that I'm eager to read the first two and some of Ms. Clare's other books.
Elise Markham has led a sheltered life. She faced some difficult challenges while growing up which kept her socially isolated, though she was surrounded by a loving if over-protective family. Now she's working as a photographer and looking for something more out of life. She has her sights set on Rome Lozada, the handsome and sexy instructor who works for her brother's company, Wilderness Survival Expeditions. Her inexperience and nearly pathological shyness leave her with little hope that she'll ever catch the attention of someone like Rome.
Rome loves his job with Wilderness Survival Expeditions. Not only does he like the work and the other employees who are more like a family, the job is an opportunity to start over and escape the influence of con-artists parents who have done little but ruin his life whenever they are near. Rome finds Elise's gentleness and sweetness appealing but knows he will never be good enough for her. Based on how she avoids looking at him or speaking with him, he's sure Elise knows he is no good. When circumstances unexpectedly throw them together, their barriers begin to crumble and they soon realize they have more in common than they ever imagined.
THE VIRGIN'S GUIDE TO MISBEHAVING is a wonderful story about leaving the past behind, believing in who you are today, and making room for love. Both Rome and Elise have painful personal histories that distort their ability to appreciate themselves. It's the love they feel for each other and how they appreciate each other's best qualities that allow them to grow individually and stand together. I loved the moment when they reached their well-deserved happy ending. A beautiful setting and engaging supporting characters just add color to a emotionally-rich love story.
Fans of contemporary romance will thoroughly enjoy THE VIRGIN'S GUIDE TO MISBEHAVING.

of her shell and maybe meet someone intriguing in the

whole lot more on her mind than snapping photos, especially
when Rome walks into the picture.
Playing dirty is fun.
The newest instructor at Wilderness Survival Expeditions has
a colorful past, to say the least. Having come from a family
of notorious con artists that destroyed his credit and
reputation, all before his eighteenth birthday, Rome just
wants a decent job and a quiet life in a town where no one
knows his name. He’s exactly the kind of bad boy that an
innocent girl like Elise should stay far away from.
But Elise is tired of doing what’s right. She’s ready to
throw caution to the wind—and let Rome show her just how
exciting being bad can be
