Romance Contemporary

Comeback Cove, Ontario is a small tourist town on the St Lawrence River. JT Delaney has come back to the town he grew up in after being away for twenty five years. He left in the middle of the night way back then and now finds himself looking over his shoulder constantly since he arrived back home. Twenty five years ago there was a fire in the historic section of town and everyone assumed he was the one who started it.

NOW YOU SEE ME is JT's story. He wasn't the only kid there the night of the fire, but everyone was quick to point the finger at him and blame him and he left right away so he couldn't defend himself. Now twenty five years later, he just wants to pack up his mother's home and high tail it back to Tucson Arizona. Hs mother hasn't been well ever since her husband passed away and this is the only way JT knows how to care for her. She doesn't want to leave her home, but he is giving her no choice. She is afraid that once she leaves, she will lose all her memories of her husband.

Lydia Brewster runs the local coffee shop, River Joes in Comeback Cove. She has returned to the town where her husband was raised and where he died. She moved back because of their children. She wants them to be around people who knew their dad so they won't forget him. Lately though, it seems to be doing more harm then good. Everyone talks about Glenn as if he were a hero. Did she make the right choice moving back? To make matters worse, JT has just informed her that he plans on selling the building that her shop is in. The building was his dad's and he is trying to tie up all the loose ends before he moves his mom down to Tucson. How is Lydia going to be able to buy the building? After a few days, JT comes up with a plan, but I'm not going to give anything away. You will have to read NOW YOU SEE ME to find out what happens.

NOW YOU SEE ME is a very quick read. I was instantly all caught up in Lydia and JT's lives and it felt like I was right there with them fighting their battles and their demons. Yes JT was the town bad boy and trouble maker but doesn't everyone deserve a second chance? He was a kid twenty five years ago in a small town and was bored. Of course, he was going to get in trouble! I was laughing and crying as Kris Fletcher brought Lydia and JT to life for me.

NOW YOU SEE ME is all about forgiveness, letting go, and moving forward in life. Comeback Cove is your typical small town where everyone is in everyone else's business but it still seems to be the kind of place you hope you come upon in your travels. I can not wait to read more by Kris Fletcher.

SUMMARY

Café owner Lydia Brewster wants to shake things up. And J. T. Delaney, infamous legend of Comeback Cove, just might be the man she needs. With his wild reputation, who better to help a girl shake off a "poor widow" image she's too young to keep wearing?

Despite the rumors, J.T. doesn't seem quite the troublemaker Lyddie's heard about. He actually seems focused on business—the subject they don't see eye to eye on. Really, all she wants is a fling. But after a few long, hot nights together, the most dangerous thing about J.T. is the unexpected way he makes her feel.
