TURN UP THE HEAT is the first book in Kimberly Kincaid's Pine Mountain series. It is where you meet Bellamy Blake who is having the worst week ever. She has just learned that her boyfriend, Derek Patterson, the local anchorman, is moving to California and hasn't said a word to her about it. When she confronts him he gives her those three stupid words "it's not you".......seriously? What was she thinking??

On top of that, she is a real estate analyst for the second largest bank in Philadelphia, and her job is awful. Her boss is impossible, and she just isn't happy there anymore. She sees a billboard on her way home one day, and it's for Pine Mountain, 100 miles away. That is exactly what she needs, time away from her life. She gets her best friends, Jenna and Holly to go with her on a much needed road trip.

On the way up to Pine Mountain, Bellamy's car dies and she walks two miles to the only service garage in the area. There she meets Shane Griffin, a very sexy and delicious looking mechanic. Sparks fly immediately, and Bellamy agrees to having him fix her car; only it's going to take a week. A week she doesn't have, but what can she do? While she is stuck waiting for her car, she runs into Shane at the local bar. Wow! He is sure hot, and she is very attracted to him, but Shane is sending mixed signals.

Shane is convinced Bellamy is totally out of his league. He has a few secrets that he keeps to himself, but he can tell Bellamy is a city girl and used to a certain way of life. Something he has no desire to be a part of, but will he be able to fight the instant attraction he has to her? The banter between the two of them is hilarious and laugh-out- loud funny.

If you think TURN UP THE HEAT is going to be a cheesy love story, you will be happily mistaken. There is a deep secondary story here. I love how Kimberly pulled me right into Bellamy and Shane's lives, and I felt like I was sitting right there with them as they made their life changing and gut-wrenching decisions. Wait until you find out what Shane is hiding from Bellamy!

TURN UP THE HEAT will make you hot! The sex scenes in the back of Shane's truck will have you pulling important parts off of your car in hopes of meeting a garage mechanic just like Shane! I read TURN UP THE HEAT in one day and was flipping the pages like a mad woman! I just had to know what was going to happen to feisty Bellamy and sexy Shane. TURN UP THE HEAT should be on everyone's e reader today! Pine Mountain has become one of my new places to visit over and over again.

SUMMARY

"It's not you."

There are only so many times a girl can hear those words before she believes that it is, in fact, very much her. Unexpectedly jilted by her locally famous boyfriend and haunted by a boss who makes Attila the Hun look like a lap dog, Bellamy Blake does what any self-respecting girl in her shoes would do. She rounds up her two best girlfriends and makes plans to get the hell out of Dodge. . .

But Bellamy's escape plan takes a nose dive on the side of rural route 164 when her transmission self-destructs, leaving her in the middle of a cell phone dead zone with nothing but her wits. Oh, and Shane Griffin, the hottest mechanic who's ever checked under her hood.

Yet this small-town man isn't all he seems. Can Shane and Bellamy prove that sometimes the most unlikely ingredients make the most deliciously sexy mix?
