Jane Wilson is the chief pie maker for Big Sky Pie and café
in Kalispell, Montana, until the owner, Molly McCoy, can
return from her heart surgery. The grand opening of the
shop was postponed for three months after Molly's surgery.
Jane's mother, Rebel Scott, is having a party and asks Jane
to bring some pies. Rebel is also excited to share some
big news with her daughter. Jane and her pies arrive at
the condo on Flat Head Lake the same time as Nick Taziano, a
good-looking man that Jane shares a past with. Jane's
mother was married to Nick's father years ago, and the
children made life miserable for each other and their
respective parent. The best is yet to come, though. This
party is to announce Rebel's and Romeo's engagement. Jane
is too cowardly to stay; she pushes her pies on a table, and
runs out.
Jane cannot remember one good thing about her life with the
Taziano men; Nick only remembers that Jane could really be a
pain, but Rebel was very good to him. However, he remembers
how torn up his father was after the divorce and blames this
on Rebel. Jane is convinced that Romeo stole her mom from
Eddie Wilson, Jane's dad, and she still resents the man.
In spite of their childhood differences Jan and Nick are
attracted to each other and to a common cause: break up the
engagement asap!
It seems like everyone in Kalispell turns out for the grand
opening of Big Sky Pie. When Rebel and Eddie see each
other, they are on very good terms. Jane doesn't
understand this until Eddie explains that his and Rebel's
divorce was mutual, and Rebel didn't meet Romeo until after
the decree was final.
DELICIOUS is a tasty read with well-crafted characters and
several entertaining subplots. Adrianna Lee is very talented
at creating smart settings and dialogue. This second
installment in the Big Sky Pie series is as rich and
scrumptious as each pie of the week at Big Sky Pie cafe.
Workaholic Nick Taziano is the proud owner of a successful
marketing company in Montana. But his career takes a
backseat when he learns his dad plans to remarry his ex.
Nick fears she'll break his heart . . . again. And he
doesn't like being reunited with her obnoxious
daughter-until the all-grown-up beauty kisses him at the
engagement party. The kiss might be a mistake, but once he
tastes Jane's lips, nothing-not even her famous blueberry
pie-compares.
A promising chef at Big Sky Pie, Jane Wilson never, ever
wanted to see Nick Taziano again, but he's just been hired
to do the pie shop's marketing. How's a girl supposed to
bake the best pastries in town when he's a constant reminder
of their steamy chemistry? His chocolate eyes and sexy
dimples heat up the kitchen-and every part of her body. Jane
has no room for a man in her life, yet sometimes the most
delicious dishes don't follow the recipe . . .
