Yes, maybe it's time to go get her man. She worked on a TV makeover show as production assistant, but a small Texas town offered other opportunities. It might be only diner work today, but the people are genuine and friendly. Like Deputy Brady Bennet, who makes her heart beat a little faster. From playing pool to dirt bikes, she has a lot to learn about life around this man.

Major League Crush by Jennifer Seasons shows Roberta, or Bertie, who is cynical about Valentine's Day. She writes a newspaper comic strip about a socially awkward girl in the big city and she has to go to a date evening. The one guy she secretly has a crush on shows up at her door and asks if they're going to the same party, and would she object to going with him if so? Drake just doesn't want friends trying to set him up with Valentine dates. Seems reasonable. I did find it hard to believe that Drake has been living opposite Bertie for two years and says he finds her interesting, yet he's never asked her what she does for a living.

Overall there is a lot of variety in CONFESSIONS OF A SECRET ADMIRER and each story does explore the bedroom, in a modern look at attraction and steamy seduction between interesting people with busy lives. This should suit those who like romance reads in novella length and the tales may prompt you to explore these authors' other works.
